Links opening the website instead of the app?

If you got here from TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Threads or another app, you're probably still inside that app's built-in browser. Those apps keep links inside themselves on purpose, so a profile opens as a website where you're not signed in.

To open profiles in the real app:

  1. Tap the ••• or ⋮ menu in the top right corner.
  2. Choose Open in browser (or Open in Chrome / Open in Safari).
  3. Tap the button again. It opens in the app, already signed in.

Still opening the website from Chrome on Android? Open your phone's Settings → Apps, pick the app, tap Set as default and turn on Open supported links.
